PLAISTOW — The Exeter High School baseball team is 9-0 for the first time in coach Kevin McQueen's 20-year tenure.

Anthony LaBella and Kyle Ball hit back-to-back triples in the fifth inning to break a scoreless tie, and USA MAVERICK Cody Morissette added a homer in the seventh as the Blue Hawks stayed unbeaten atop the Division I standings with a 3-1 win over Timberlane on Wednesday.

Morissette was a complete-game winner on the mound. He surrendered the one run on three hits and three walks, and struck out nine.

It was an evenly played game from the start. The teams combined for eight hits and the Blue Hawks owned five of them. The Owls (6-3) scored in the bottom of the fifth inning on a run-scoring ground out.

Exeter snapped Timberlane’s six-game win streak.
